Work is almost complete on the outside and the roof of the hall. New weatherboards have been fitted and painted along with a new colourbond roof , guttering and facials. The old original chimney on the rear wall has been retained ,bagged and painted. This was the fireplace in the kitchen for many years the only way water was boiled. Some of us will remember the kerosene tins hanging in the fireplace used for making tea and coffee. The Barbecue area is also being clad with weatherboard and is looking quite smart. The ground at the back of the hall has been levelled allowing the water to get away easier. Many thanks to all who have contributed their time and talents helping with this project. A small plaque will be fixed to the wall of the hall acknowledging the Community Hall Renewal Fund Grant and the work of the volunteers in the community. We are looking for old photos of the hall, or functions held there. Maybe you know of some.
