Updates and Improvements

Over the years we as Non-Council Crown Land Managers have sought funding and donated time and labour to maintain and improve the facilities at the Recreation ground.

Upcoming Projects

  • A museum.
  • New flooring for the Hall verandah  

Completed Projects

  • The connection of FREE WIFI for the Reserve.
  • Purchase and installation of a difibrilator  on the Recreation reserve
  • Refit of existing toilet block, new tiles, new lights, new urinal.
  • New stone wall memorial garden with installed water tap piped to garden.
  • Fit out of a new kitchen complete with new stove, benches and cupboards.
  • New concrete footpath at front and side of hall allowing also wheelchair access.
  • New storage shed at the eastern side of Hall
  • New storage shed for machinery and maintenance equipment on the southern side, complete with water and electricity connection.
  • New Toro ride-on mower.
  • New fencing on the southern and eastern sides of the Recreation Ground
  • Complete recladding of the Hall with Western Red Cedar
  • Complete re-roofing of the gable section of the Hall
  • Replacement of the wood rails and posts on the sporting/cricket field with powder-coated steel rails and steel posts.
  • New entry gate for the sporting/cricket field.
  • Recladding of the Barbeque facility and Bar area with western Red Cedar.
  • New large BBQ for functions including proper/safer two-bottle gas connection.
  • Refit the functions of the BBQ area with stainless steel.
  • Installation of a new BBQ in front of the tennis court for any time use with a new overhead protection build.
  • Forming up and sealing a new road from the Recreation Ground front entrance to the back of the hall, over 100 meters.
  • Installation of fans and sensor lights inside the Hall.
  • Removal of dangerous trees on southeastern side of the Recreation Reserve allowing the safe use of almost an acre of additional ground.
  • Purchase of 4 aluminium benches complete with tables.
  • Recent planting of exotic trees on the Recreation Reserve designed to add to the aesthetic qualities of the Reserve.
